The Accent Cloud Phone app is a mobile softphone client for use with your Accent Cloud Phone System account. The app is available for both iOS and Android devices. This guide will provide instructions for both types of device, please refer to the appropriate guide for your specific mobile device.
This User Guide will help you to get started with the Accent Cloud Phone app and utilize its communication features. To begin, please choose the appropriate mobile operating system from the options below:
Along the bottom of the app is the Navigation Bar providing access to the five main pages of the app.
The pages available are:
At any time you may tap the corresponding icon to navigate to that page of the app. We will detail each page and the functions available within this guide.
Calls can be initiated via several different methods:
Dialing a 10-digit number from the Keypad and pressing the Dial Button to initiate the call.
Choosing a number from one of your Contacts listed within the Directory or you personal Address Book.
If you have messages in your voicemail box, the Voicemail Button will appear on the Keypad along with a numeric indicator in the top left corner of the screen. To access your voicemail and listen to your messages press the Voicemail Button.
The Keypad is the initial page displayed upon login and is the central location for making calls, accessing your voicemail, and editing app .

The Meetings page provides users with quick access buttons to either open the Accent Meetings app or download the app from the iOS App Store.

The Quickdial page is a place to store favorites and other contacts you might need quick access to. For users with a physical desk phone, the buttons programmed on your phone will also appear on the Quickdial page.
Quickdial buttons configured as "BLF" appearances will show the user's live status and indicate whether or not a user is currently on the phone.
To call a contact on the Quickdial page, simply tap the desired user's icon and the call will be immediately initiated.
You may tap the EDIT icon in the top right corner of the page to add additional contacts to the Quickdial page beyond those automatically added via your phone layout.
If your business utilizes Call Parking and your extension has park button appearances configured then you may easily retrieve a parked call by simply clicking the appropriate corresponding park button on the Quickdial page. The parked call will be immediately picked up within the app.
When your user account is created and enabled, you will receive an email from our systems providing user credentials and details on how to download Accent's desktop and mobile apps. We refer to this email as the "Welcome Email".
Simply utilize the username and password credentials provided in the Welcome Email to login to the app.
Scan the QR code provided within the Welcome Email to automatically login to the app.
After a successful initial login, you'll be asked to agree to the app terms and conditions. After acceptance, you will be able to use the app with your cloud phone system extension. In the next sections we will detail the app layout, key elements, and features available to users once successfully logged in.
The Contacts page integrates several different contact lists into one application interface. These lists include:
Directory: Cloud phone system directory.
Address Book: The device's embedded address book.
Office 365: Office365 contact list, requires login to Office365 and a valid account.
You may toggle between the different contact lists via the buttons near the top of the page.
Tapping on an individual contact entry will allow you to view further details about that contact including any available contact numbers.
You may call the contact at any of the listed numbers via pressing the desired number. Additionally, you may select a custom ringtone to be played for an individual contact with the Ringtone option for that contact.
The History page provides a historical record of all calling which has taken place within the app. This includes calls made, received, and missed.
The History page lists all calls chronologically and will group calls involving the same contact/number.
The Filter List near the top of the page will allow you to quickly filter between All Calls, Missed Calls, or calls that have a recording associated with them.
To view the details of an individual call, simply tap the Call Details icon. The Call Details page provides further information about a call and allows you to listen to and manage any call recordings associated with the call.
Additional options available for a recorded call are:
Delete: Delete the call recording from the device.
Send by Email: Attach the recording to an email.
Share: Share the recording via the embedded iOS sharing features.
Prevent Deletion: Locks/Unlocks the ability to delete the recording.
Additionally, the EDIT button will allow the deletion of the recorded call as well.
Calls recorded via the app's embedded recording feature are not synchronized or stored to Accent's cloud or the user's cloud phone system account. Any call recorded via this feature will only be stored on the user's local device storage. Once the recording is deleted it can NOT be retrieved via Accent.
Download the Accent Cloud Phone app by following the link found in the Welcome Email or via Accent's downloads page at . Once installed, there are two options for login and provisioning: username and password or via QR code.

Keypad: Used to dial in-call keys for interacting with automated attendants, IVR menus, and the sending of DTMF signals.
Hold: Place the call on hold and retrieve the call from hold.
Record: Records the call to the local storage on the phone.
Transfer: Initiates a blind transfer.
Add Call: Allows the addition of another caller for an ad-hoc conference call.
Att. Transfer: Initiates an attended transfer.
End Call: Ends the current call.
Additionally near the top of the screen there are several other buttons:
Return to Last Screen: Navigates back to the last app page. Any active calls will remain active.
Mute/Unmute: Toggles the device's microphone off/on.
Toggle Audio: Toggles between the different audio outputs available, including bluetooth devices when connected.
Additional Call Data: Provides additional technical data regarding the active call, sometimes necessary when troubleshooting technical support issues.
The Accent Cloud Phone app provides the user the ability to record a call and store it within the app via your device's local storage.
To initiate a recording of the current call simply press the Record button. Please note the recording will only begin once the Record button is pressed, any audio which took place prior to the Record button being pressed will NOT be included within the recording.
If you would like to stop the recording prior to the call ending, simply tap the Record button to end recording.

Multichannel: When enabled, the audio channels of each individual will show separately within the recorded call.
Output File Format: Modifies how the format the call recording is saved in.
Delete After: Specify how long to keep call recordings before they are automatically deleted from your device.
Warning Beep: Toggle off/on the playing of an audible beep which other call participants can hear.
Email Address: Pre-fills the email address destination when sending a call recording via email.
Upload URL: Allows for the uploading of call recordings to a specific URL via a POST method.
All call recordings are saved within the app and accessible via the page.
To modify advanced call recording preferences, navigate to > > Call Recording.
The Settings page provides access to a variety of app settings, information, and technical support data.
The items available in the Settings page include:
Account Setup: Provides basic username and account information along with access to contact Accent technical support and view this user guide.
Incoming Calls: Allows the user to toggle Push Notifications off/on. Turning Push Notifications off will result in the app not receiving calls while it is in the background.
Preferences: Provides access to a variety of app preferences, these are detailed further in a section below.
About: Show the version level of the installed app.
Usage: Provides calling and usage statistics.
SIP Log: Accesses the SIP communication log, this is used by Accent's technical support team.
Reset Application: Logs the user out and resets all app information, settings, files, and statistics.
Items accessible via the Preferences menu include:
Ringtones: Modify the ringtone played for inbound calls.
Sound: Change advanced settings regarding echo suppression, noise suppression, and bluetooth support.
Call Forwarding: Toggle on/off forwarding of all calls.
Number Rewriting: This is an advanced feature that should not be modified without the assistance of Accent's technical support team.
Network: Allows the user to modify WiFi network related advanced settings.
Controls: Advanced headset controls.
Do Not Disturb: Used to define unique Do Not Disturb rules surrounding time/date and specific contacts.
Log SIP Traffic: Advanced setting which should not be modified.
Language: The only current supported language is English.
SSL Exceptions: Advanced setting not to be edited.

To disable ALL inbound calls, go into settings -> incoming calls and change from push notifications to "Off".
To re-enable receiving calls again, Click Settings -> Incoming Calls -> Push Notifications -> Settings - Done.
You can also disable calls for a period of time using the Do Not Disturb (DND) function. The feature silently rejects calls to your mobile device but still shows the call as missed so you will get a notification that a call was attempted when you open the app again.
To activate this feature, tap "Accent" in the upper left corner, then toggle Do Not Disturb on or off. You will see an indication icon on Accent when the feature is turned on.
If you are on an active call and need to increase either your Mic volume or Speaker volume past what your device will allow you to, you can swipe the screen to the left to reveal a Mic and Speaker gain control slider. Increasing the sliders will increase your Mic or Speaker volume, decreasing your volume will decrease the Mic or Speaker volume.
